We earn our patch and bleed for our colors. We have come along way from the foundation of the team to its current members and status in the community. Here is our history...
Umbrella Corporation: San Antonio Division (UC: SAD) in its beginning was known as Umbrella Security Service or U.S.S. Founded on June 6th, 2012, by two brothers who shared a mutual interest and passion for the survival-horror franchise known as Resident Evil by CAPCOM. Upon the release of the title “Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City” (an action-based spin-off game that dove deep into the lore of the umbrella corporation), the founders drove to expand upon their desires and love for the series. With this, the first San Antonio Umbrella Corporation team was formed.

With the leadership of the former commander (U.S.S. REAPER) and former A.F.O. (U.S.S. Leeperz), the initiation ritual was established and is still used to this day. The founders did not hesitate to promote their newly found division and sought to expand their organization by attending local airsoft and surrounding fields in hopes to gain the interest of others to join their ranks. Quickly expanding their skills and proficiency in the CQB environment another pursuit was made in order to expand their name even further, they dove headfirst into the cosplay scene. After attending San Antonio based conventions, zombie walks, and swap meets; the team was getting recognized more and more frequently.
On October 15th, 2014, U.S.S created their Facebook and Instagram as a means to spread their name in a controlled manner and give information as to who they were, where to give credit and perhaps even pick up new recruits. As they got recognized more and more by con-goers, enthusiasts, and casual civilians. They were no longer just friends attending events for fun. They now had a new goal, inspiration, and the drive to become something greater. A trifecta had been created. An unshakable bond between being a menace on the field, accurate in the eyes of fans, and loyal to one another always. No longer another group, now they were a family. “We are U.S.S.” This goal would continue to carry the two founders as high as they could go. As time carried them they would gather new members, expanding their family in numbers.
February 4, 2018. Seeking to further build their reputation in the airsoft community, new bonds were created with other teams. An alliance with the “Texas Partisans”, a well respected Russian impressionist team. These individuals, who specialize in recon, strategy and guerrilla warfare, aligned with the team’s moral goals. U.S.S. would learn from them and their playstyle in a new outdoor environment, under these conditions the alliance would flourish. The deadly duo was established and the battle cry “FOR THE CAUSE” was started. The alliance would prove fruitful, U.S.S and the Texas Partisans would grow fond of one another. Countless cherish-able memories have been made even to this day.
December 11, 2018, after an exchange of hands, we were due for a change. New team members and an all new approach to how we represent ourselves. We were now in the precipice of a new age. It was time to establish our roots. A new name that puts us closer to the heart of our city. A new symbol that ties-that-bind under the Umbrella. While everything was set in motion for new beginnings. We made sure to remember where we started and keep those traditions alive. Always gentlemen, always a fighter. The U.S.S. would soon transition into the now well-known Umbrella Corporation: San Antonio Division. Also known as UC: SAD.
